Despair in the Departure Lounge for Bale [picture]

Gareth Bale looks set to be playing in a white shirt yet again next season, though it could well be for Los Blanco's rather than Spurs if recent reports are to be believed. Spanish sports newspaper Marca have quoted a strongly worded statement allegedly from the Welshman that if true would leave no doubt as to his intent on a transfer to Real Madrid.

'You made me a promise,' said Bale. 'You promised me if we didn’t qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up you’d listen to it. Well that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate. I'm not interested in Manchester United or any other club. I only want to play for Real Madrid.'

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is desperate to hold on to his star man and is still hopeful that he can convince Bale to extend his stay at White Hart Lane. The 24-year -old signed a new contract with the North London club last summer, but after a season of incredible performances he has become a major transfer target for the biggest clubs in Europe.

Speaking abouts the ongoing battle to keep Bale at Tottenham, Villas-Boas stated: 'There was contact between the club and his agent last year and there is ongoing contact between the club and his agent. We renewed his contract at the beginning of last season, if you remember, and it's something that is being dealt with by the chairman and the agent.

'Talks are ongoing but that doesn't mean there is an agreement. At the moment we're confident that the player is under contract at Tottenham, as was done last year. It's something that we're speaking about, but there aren't any developments.'

Bales supposed "comments" are a Madrid/marca re-hash of Modric quotes from two years ago. Desperate pricks and bad journalism on all fronts. Why are neutrel journos so happy for the Bale rumours to persist and does FIFA have a telephone number??

you blithering idiot. those are modric's words recycled by hacks in spain and accepted as gospel by their counterparts in UK. god. what awful standards in european sports journalism and blogging!! absolutely awful.

Sorry mate, if you wrote this today, 27th July, you really should read a little more before blogging about a subject. It's widely reported that Marca (aka Real Madrid propaganda machine and tapping up device) have quoted Modric from last year, WORD for WORD, and presented it as a quote from Bale. Another wasted link from Newsnow.

I hate to spoil your artwork, but this is the Modric article in Marca last year.

[Marca report that Modric met Levy for showdown talks last Wednesday in London, telling him: "You made me a promise. You promised me if we didn't qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up you'd listen to it. Well that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate. I'm not interested in Manchester United or any other club. I only want to play for Real Madrid."]

Not only are you another annoying fake media person, pretending to report, but you waste your time drawing shit pictures to try and back up your terrible articles. WHY DON'T YOU RESEARCH AND CREATE YOUR OWN WORK. You fraudster!

Everything about this page is sh*t!!!

Only a cretin would have believed the conversation that appears in the article took place. It was alleged to have taken place in London last Wednesday. Even a challenged moron could have found out by askinbg a competent adult to reseach that on Wednesday Bale was actually in Hong Kong. Obviously in the parallel universe you inhabit reality is suspended. Perhaps there might be another hobby more suited to your deluded persona.

What they said. Oh, and fuck off.

Apart from the crappy cartoon, which looks like something from the back of a schoolboy's exercise book, there is not one scrap of original thought. Reading blogs is like stepping in dogshit in bare feet... you keep a careful eye out for future danger.
You got me this time but I will never be coming back
