Klopp front of queue to sign £14m winger

Jurgen Klopp has already brought in Joel Matip, Sadio Mane and Loris Karius so far this transfer window and the spending looks set to continue with interest being stepped up in pursuit of Croatian winger Marko Pjaca.

The 21-year-old Dynamo Zagreb player has attracted interest from a number of clubs after scoring 8 goals in 28 appearances last season and the Daily Express have reported that  Liverpool are leading the pack for his signature.

Inter Milan, AC Milan and Fiorentina are also said to be interested in securing a transfer deal for Pjaca, who is valued at around £14 million. However, comments from Dynamo Zagreb sporting director Marko Vukelic have suggested that he is most likely bound for England.

Speaking to FCInterNews, Vukelic stated: ‘The boy has been very clear through his Facebook profile that there has been no agreement with Inter and he is still a player for Dynamo Zagreb.’

‘He’s now on vacation then he will be at our disposal but there are a few possibilities with other clubs including Inter.’

In response to a question regarding a possible move to Italy for Pjaca, Vukelic said: ‘I don’t want to respond to this question directly but what I will say is that his future looks to be in the Premier League and clubs over there are in pole-position to sign him.’
