Klopp joins race to sign £20m youngster

Jurgen Klopp has joined a number of Premier League and European clubs in an increasingly heated battle to sign 19-year-old forward Leon Bailey from Belgian club Genk.

Bids are expected from Roma and Bayern Leverkusen this January, with Lyon and Nice also reported by the Daily Mail to be interested in making an approach.

Competition for the Jamaican wingers signature in the Premier League comes from Chelsea, Everton and Bournemouth who may be prompted to make bids of their own in response to the increased interest of European clubs.

Bailey has scored six goals in twenty-four appearances for his club so far this season and  is expected to attract bids of around £20 million.

It has been reported that the Jamaican would prefer a move to the Premier League, meaning that it could come down to a head to head battle between Chelsea and Liverpool.
