Theo Walcott explains what Everton need to do to upset Manchester United

Everton travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to clash with Manchester United, and how they fare in one of their biggest tests of the campaign could go a long way in defining their season.

The Toffees fell to 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal on matchday 6, and will be looking to prove themselves against one of the bigwigs come weekend.

Everton have won just once at the Theatre of Dreams since 1992, but forward Theo Walcott reckons an upset is possible if they can take their chances.

“It's well-documented what's going on there right now but it's Manchester United at Old Trafford, you know they're going to be some force," the 29-year-old told the ECHO.
"I believe when we're playing football we can dominate games. We've scored a lot of goals and we're sharing the goals among the squad as well. The players who came off the bench made the difference last time out which shows we're all in this together.
“Everyone is focused and when anyone gets a chance they want to take it. We've got to learn from when we went to Arsenal, we should have taken our chances when we had them. You’ve got to when you play against top teams."

Everton started the game at Emirates on the front foot, with Walcott and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both missing clear chances that could have comfortably put them ahead.

Under manager Marco Silva, the Goodison Park outfit have been a joy to watch, with the two late goals in last weekend's 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace typifying how resolute they have been with their attacking football.

The Reds Devils have been unimpressive this season, and Everton have a chance to hurt them at home and heap further woes on them.

However, they have to take their chances in front of goal, as failure to could prove to be the difference between winning and losing - just as it was against Arsenal.
