Leeds United are playing a fine brand of football this season under Marcelo Biesla. The Whites have a good chance of claiming one of the automatic promotion places and making a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Many Leeds fans will be hoping that the club bring in a few new players in January in order to bolster their chances of promotion. The Whites have been good but there are weak points within the team. For instance, they would certainly benefit from signing a new goalkeeper.
Premier League strugglers Burnley currently have one of the best goalkeeping choices in England with the likes of Joe Hart, Nick Pope and Tom Heaton all within the ranks. All three have represented England during the past 24 months.
Luring Pope or Hart could be a tough ask but if Biesla pushes, a loan move for Heaton is not impossible. Even though Patrick Bamford is set to return, the Whites will also benefit from bringing in a new striker. The funds from the sale of Samuel Saiz can go towards purchasing a new striker.
As reported by Hull Live, the Argentinian spoke about his club’s transfer plans for next month and said:
“To add players to the team increasing the level of the team is not easy. If we find players better than those who left it will be a good addition to the team. It’s only a possibility for now.”
