Mauricio Pochettino discusses Tottenham’s recent rise

Tottenham continued their recent good form by completing a 5-0 win against Bournemouth on Wednesday. Son Heung-Min also continued his recent run of exceptional form as the South Korean went on to bag a brace while the likes of Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane were also on the scoresheet.
The result sees Pochettino’s side move into second place on the League standings after Manchester City fell to a shock 2-1 defeat against Leicester City. With 45 points to their name after 19 games this season, the Lilywhites find themselves 6 points adrift of first place Liverpool.
It will not be easy for them to win their first Premier League title this season especially given that Jurgen Klopp’s side look unbeatable at the moment, but they will surely fancy their chances.
Tottenham have so far shown resilience in the face of adversity. Many pundits expected the North London side to struggle this season after they failed to make a single summer signing. They have also faced off the field problems, with their move to their new stadium being delayed.
This has forced them to use Wembley Stadium to play home fixtures for a longer time than expected.
Speaking about his team’s rise, Pochettino said as quoted by Sport 24

“Over the last six months we haven’t complained about anything.

“The one thing we have kept is the belief and being positive and we have created a bubble.

“We are in this position because we have worked a lot and the players really believe.”
