A section of the Everton fans were delighted with the performance of left-back Lucas Digne during Monday’s 2-2 Premier League draw against Watford. The Toffees took an early lead via Richarlison in the 15th minute and they managed to hold onto the advantage until the half-time break.
However, the Hornets made a quick comeback after the hour mark with a Seamus Coleman own goal and a Abdoulaye Doucoure strike, but Digne gained the Toffees a point at the end with a sublime curled free-kick with seconds left on the clock.
Following the game, some of the club’s faithful were elated with the showing of the former Barcelona man, who has transformed into a consistent performer for the Merseysiders since taking charge of the left-back position from Leighton Baines. Here are some of the best tweets after yesterday’s game:

With the stalemate, the Toffees have managed just two points from the previous two matches against Newcastle United and Watford respectively where they should have done much better. Against the Hornets, Gylfi Sigurdsson was very much the culprit after missing the penalty which could have sealed the three points while he was likewise guilty of fluffing his lines with a couple of scoring attempts within the box.
Nonetheless, there are positives to carry forward with Richarlison continuing with his scoring ways with his eighth goal of the Premier League campaign while Digne could now emerge as the genuine specialist for the free-kick and penalty duties with Sigurdsson struggling to perform the latter role with success for both club and country. Everton have a difficult trip to Manchester City in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.
