Kane and Son start, Strongest Predicted Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur are scheduled to face Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium for the first leg of the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday night. The north London giants have been hugely impressive over the past month where they have dropped league points on just one occasion, and they should take the confidence into the derby, which comes after their resounding 7-0 triumph over Tranmere in the FA Cup third round.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Lineup:
Hugo Lloris was completely rested for the FA Cup tie at Tranmere but he should return between the sticks against Chelsea while keeping the captain’s armband. In the defence, Maurizio Pochettino may resort to the traditional four-man backline and we are anticipating regular full-backs Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies to slot into the right and left side of the defence with Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez making up the central defensive department.
Onto the midfield, both Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko were offered a much-needed break over the weekend but they should return to the fray for the derby. Further forward, Heung-min Son and Dele Alli are likely to feature on the left and right side of the attack and the game would be the former’s final one before he heads for Asian Cup duty with South Korea.
Elsewhere, Christian Eriksen should take up the number 10 role position available whilst Harry Kane should lead the line afresh of finding the scoresheet against Tranmere off the bench. The England international has been the most in-form marksman during the festive period and he comes into this game with a goal or an assist in each of the previous eight matches for the club.
Predicted Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris, Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Heung-min Son, Harry Kane
