Tammy Abraham misses training & drops Wolves transfer hint

A report published by The Mirror has claimed that key Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham did not return to training on Monday.
The report added that the on-loan striker is set to finalize a move to Premier League club Wolves within the next 48 hours.  Speculation that Abraham would be set to leave Villa Park began to gather momentum after he was left out of the club’s squad which lost in the FA Cup against Swansea City last Saturday.
Abraham has been very impressive for the Villains this season and has scored 16 goals from 20 games after joining the club on loan from Chelsea during last summer’s transfer window. He is already proven at Championship level after having shone for Bristol City during the 2016-17 campaign.
The England international is however yet to be proven at Premier League level. He did spend the 2017-18 season on loan with Swansea City in the top-flight but struggled for consistency as the Swans were relegated during the same campaign.
It is easy to see why Abraham will be tempted to move to Wolves who are performing impressively in the top-flight after winning the Championship title next season.
The departure of Abraham will hand a huge blow to Dean Smith’s side’s chances of winning promotion next season.
It now means that Smith may have to rely upon Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan more. The duo has struggled to find the back of the net so far this season.
