According to a report from Calciomercato, West Ham are eyeing a possible summer move for Ajax ace Kasper Dolberg.
The young Dane is a real talent, and if the Hammers manage to bring him to east London, he could very well help bring out the best in Marko Arnautovic.
The Hammers frontman hasn’t looked too impressive recently, with just two goals to his name in his last six top-flight appearances.
The Austrian’s main problem, however, has been the lack of support that he has received in the final third, with so many of West Ham’s creative playmakers currently out injured.
And signing Dolberg in the summer would certainly go a long way to solving that problem.
The 21-year-old possesses pace in abundance, and he plays with a certain type of directness that would undoubtedly help the Hammers improve upon the potency of their play in the final third.
Dolberg – who is valued at around £30 million, according to the Guardian, can play anywhere along the front-line, and he excels when making unselfish runs into the channels, therefore creating space for his teammates.
The Ajax man has racked up 10 goals and four assists in 27 appearances in all competitions this season, and he seems as though he is ready explode onto the world stage.
Dolberg has all that’s needed to become a future star, with his strength, pace, finishing and aerial ability.
And if West Ham manage to sign him this summer, it could be a really significant piece of business for the east London outfit.
