Bielsa makes his feelings on Leeds fans very clear

No one can deny Leeds United have some of the best supporters in all of England, let alone in the Championship.

The majority of their games for this season have been sold out, and the Elland Road faithful have been rewarded with some excellent performances from the team.

The vociferous home support will be needed on Friday evening, when Leeds play host to promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion, who sit just four points below Marcelo Bielsa’s men in the Championship table.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa was full of praise for the club’s supporters, when speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“All of the games are important, this one as well and the fans have always come to the stadium.

“For us each game has a capital importance and the fans always have a positive impact in the performance of the team.

“The value of that is that what we do has an impact on their emotions and we always receive a positive response when we make effort and we felt followed by the fans when we faced adversity.”

“Without their support we wouldn’t be the team we are.”

Bielsa’s latest comments should make Leeds United fans feel very proud, and they will be desperate to see their club make their long-awaited return to the Premier League this season.

A win against West Brom would see them return to the top of table, for 24 hours at least, and should they emerge victorious from tonight’s game, everyone at Leeds will be very confident that they will remain inside the top two for the rest of the season.
