Mahrez and Sane start, Strongest Predicted Manchester City lineup (4-3-3) to face Everton

Manchester City have the opportunity to propel to the top of the standings when they face Everton on the road on Wednesday night. The Citizens are currently three points behind Liverpool at the summit but they can leapfrog Jurgen Klopp’s team on goal difference, should they secure the maximum points at Goodison Park.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Lineup:
Ederson has played every minute of City’s Premier League campaign and there are no question marks regarding his involvement between the sticks against Everton. The Brazilian is currently third in the race for the Golden Glove with 10 clean sheets to date.
John Stones was rather a surprise exclusion from the starting lineup against Arsenal last weekend but he could return to the mix to partner Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of the defence. In this case, Aymeric Laporte may stick to the left-back position from where he provided a brilliant assist last time around while Kyle Walker should feature on the opposite end of the central defence.
In midfield, Fernandinho should revert to the holding midfield role and ahead of him, we are anticipating starts for Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, though the former had been suffering from cramp against the Gunners.
In the attack, Guardiola could bring on the likes of Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez to the starting lineup and the duo should feature on the left and right side of the attack respectively as they have generally done through the campaign.
Upfront, Guardiola has the temptation to switch Aguero for an equally in-form Gabriel Jesus but given the Argentine recently bagged his 10th Premier League hat-trick, the manager may prefer the club’s all-time goalscorer leading the line.
Predicted Lineup (4-3-3): Ederson, Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho, Kevin de Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero
