A section of Everton fans have been impressed with the performances of Mason Holgate since his move to West Bromwich Albion on a short-term loan during the winter transfer window.
The 22-year-old had struggled for regular game-time during the first half of the season with the Toffees, and this eventually paved the way for him to join the Baggies, where he has proven his worth.
In West Brom’s recent Championship match against Queens Park Rangers, Holgate delivered a delightful assist for Jake Livermore’s dramatic winner in their 3-2 triumph, and shortly after the match, a few Everton fans faithful were excited by his progress.
Holgate has generally played for the Toffees at the heart of the backline but with the Baggies, he has featured on the right side of the defence, where he has chalked up three assists in seven appearances.
Based on this, some supporters believe the former Barnsley graduate has the credentials to cement a regular right-back role at Everton, where both Jonjoe Kenny and Seamus Coleman seem to have regressed this term…

He’s been fantastic so far since he’s joined, just what we’ve needed at RB.

Holgate has certainly made a bright start with West Brom since his January move, but it remains to be seen whether he can produce the same level of performance, should he get another run in Everton’s first-team next season.
