Harry Redknapp delivers emphatic response when asked if two key men will leave Tottenham

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is confident that the north London club won’t be parting ways with either Mauricio Pochettino or Harry Kane when the current campaign comes to a close.

Spurs boss Pochettino has been regularly touted for the permanent role at Manchester United in recent months with a report from The Times previously suggesting that he is determined to take up the job in the summer.

Kane, on the other hand, has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid via Calciomercato, with the outgoing European champions said to be planning a mega spending spree ahead of the next season.

Despite this, Spurs hold little concern with the duo having signed long-term contracts last summer, and Redknapp has reaffirmed the same by suggesting that they will stay put with the club.

Speaking exclusively to The Express, Redknapp said: “Tottenham are bang in there still, hopefully they can finish third. Oh yeah [Pochettino] will stay with Spurs, he’s at a great big club. New stadium, great players and a great training ground. What more could you you want? And Harry Kane. Absolutely, Harry will be at Spurs for years to come, no danger.”

Spurs have enjoyed another strong season in the Premier League where they remain on course to finish in the top four, despite experiencing a dip in form over the past four matches.

Nonetheless, the Tottenham faithful are frustrated with the lack of spending over the past year which has somewhat stunted their league progress, though that appears likely to be resolved in three months time.

Tottenham are currently third in the league standings, but they are just three points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, and they face a tricky challenge against title-chasing Liverpool at Anfield following the international break.
