Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Inter Milan and Croatian winger Ivan Perisic for a while now.
A report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claims Tottenham are interested in his services, but the North London club are only ready to offer £21.4m (€25m), and it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to tempt the Italian outfit into selling the Croatian, who they value at £30m.
Perisic was on Arsenal wish-list during the January transfer window, but the Gunners loan bid for the Croatian star failed to materialise.
Perisic is a top class player who would be an ideal signing for Spurs, but they will have to act fast if they are to beat Arsenal in the race for the winger’s signature.
At 30, it could be argued that he is already past his best, but regardless of his age, the winger is still a quality player, and he would undoubtedly provide Spurs with an injection of both quality and experience.
The two North London clubs are expected to be active during the upcoming transfer window, and whichever side Perisic ends up signing for will undoubtedly have a very good player on their hands.
