‘Phenomenal’, ‘Magician’: Some Everton fans rave about 26-year-old’s display vs West Ham

A selection of Everton fans have praised the man-of-the-match display from Bernard during their 2-0 Premier League triumph over West Ham United on the road yesterday.

The Toffees produced a dominant attacking performance at the London Stadium, and the margin of victory could have been even greater, if the players were better with their finishing on the day.

Kurt Zouma marked his return to the team with a headed goal after just five minutes, and that helped the Toffees control the game before Bernard doubled the advantage before the break.

Following the interval, the Merseyside outfit failed to convert their dominance into more goals, but a few fans were impressed with Bernard, who was a constant menace for Hammers right-back Pablo Zabaleta.

Bernard has been a regular feature under Marco Silva over the past few matches, and he has started producing match-winning efforts which were barely visible during the opening half of the Premier League season.

The Brazilian will be hoping to continue his recent good form against Arsenal next weekend, as the club push to finish as the best of the rest this term. Everton are presently one point off seventh-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in the standings.
