Scottish side Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Mahlon Romeo from Millwall this summer.
This is according to a report from the The Express, which claims the Gers are looking to sign the full-back from the Championship side, and are hopeful a deal could be done when the window opens in the summer.
The player himself would be a free agent by the end of the season which means he could be heading to Scotland on a free transfer.
Rangers are signing the full-back has a potential replacement for James Tavernier, who could face the exit door at Ibrox in the summer.
Rangers already have Jon Flanagan, who could replace Tavernier should the right-back leave the Gers in the summer, but the former Liverpool man has not lived up to expectations at Ibrox.
And it could be argued that Romeo, who has made 35 appearances for Millwall this season, would be a massive upgrade on Flanagan.
The 12-cap Antigua and Barbuda international would surely welcome Rangers’ approach in the summer, and should Gerrard bring him to Ibrox, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Glasgow giants.
