Crystal Palace are plotting a summer move to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to a report from The Sun.
Stoke could face a battle to hold onto the England international who stood by the club when they were relegated last year.
Crystal Palace are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper for next season and Eagles boss Roy Hodgson has set his sights on Butland, according to the Sun.
The 25-year-old has eight caps for England, and was part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Butland joined Stoke in 2013 and has gone on to register over 100 appearances for the Potters.
After Stoke City got relegated last season, many were surprised that he stayed at the BET365 Stadium, and considering that it has been a tough campaign for the club in the Championship, it doesn’t appear likely that Butland will be sticking around for another season.
The Sun claims that £15 million could be enough for Crystal Palace to tempt Stoke into selling the stopper, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for the south London outfit.
