Premier League giants Everton are keen on summer swoop for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Croatian forward Ante Rebic.
That is according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato who are reporting the Toffees wants to bring the 26-capped Croatia international to England this summer.
Rebic was part of the Croatian team that lost the 2018 World Cup final to France in Russia, and the 25-year-old has been in brilliant form the Bundesliga side this season.
He would undoubtedly be an ideal signing for Everton, considering how their players have been under-performing upfront so far this season, and his ability to play anywhere along the front-line will surely appeal to Marco Silva.
TransferMarkt, who rates the player at £31.50m, reckons he can operate as second striker, left winger or as a centre-forward.
Having had an impressive World Cup stint with Croatia last summer, Rebic has followed that up with eight goals and three assists in 20 Bundesliga outings this season.
Everton duo Theo Walcott and Bernard have been inconsistent in front of goal this term, and the signing of a player like Rebic would be massive coup for the Merseyside outfit.
The Toffees have been so reliant on Richarlison this season, so a player with Rebic’s quality would bring much-needed competition to the attacking department at Goodison Park.
Having a player in Rebic who is capable of providing another 12 to 15 goals in a season would take the Merseyside club to another level entirely.
With the Premier League an attractive destination for most players, it will be interesting to see whether the Croatian would be willing to ditch the Bundesliga outfit to join Everton in the summer, if an offer does in fact come in for his services.
