Some Manchester United supporters were critical about the performance of Eric Bailly despite the team’s sensational comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie.
United were trailing 2-0 after the first leg at Old Trafford last month, and very few gave them the chance to progress with as many as 10 first-team players missing for the second leg at Parc des Princes.
However, they managed to make a sensational comeback with a 3-1 scoreline to progress on the away goal rule following a first half brace from Romelu Lukaku, and a dramatic injury time winner from a Marcus Rashford penalty.
Eric Bailly threatened to undo anything positive we had in store tonight. Even Ashley Young's performance picked up the moment his calamitous self was hauled off.

I think no one remembers that Eric Bailly even started the match. Really a horrible defender, should be off-loaded asap

Amongst all the madness, reminder Eric Bailly is horrendous.

Tbf tie would have been a formality had Eric Bailly not played in either leg.

Eric Bailly can also be sold in the summer, he has actually shown what a fraud he is under Ole. Jose was right all along

While the majority of the supporters were delighted with the stunning effort, a few still reminded about the poor performance from Bailly during the first half where he has substituted with a suspected injury.
Playing at right-back, Bailly had a forgettable game where he was often outclassed by Juan Bernat, and he was eventually culpable for Les Parisiens’ goal after failing to spot the run of the Spaniard on the far post.
The same situation repeated itself on a few more occasions but luckily for United, they managed to sort the concern with an early substitution with Diogo Dalot coming on for Bailly in the 36th minute.
The change worked as a blessing in disguise as United secured one of their most memorable wins in history.
