Some sections of Tottenham Hotspur fans hailed the performance of Hugo Lloris during the second-leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund last night.
The north London side had gone into the game with a comfortable 3-0 advantage from the first-leg at Wembley, and they managed to produce a resolute defensive showing to deny Dortmund a way into the tie.
The hosts were by far the better side with the attacking intent during the course of the first half, but they could not find the scoresheet, with Lloris pulling off a string of top-notch saves.
Following the interval, Kane ended Dortmund’s slender comeback hopes with a goal in the 48th minute, but the fans were particularly appreciative of Lloris’s efforts, as the Frenchman kept his side in the game.

The 32-year-old’s position came under question following the 2-0 derby defeat to Chelsea, where he made a poor judgement for the opening strike from Pedro, while also being involved in the comedic own goal from Trippier.
He has, however, managed to make amends with the penalty save in the north London derby and this has been followed with a clean sheet against Dortmund, which was his 100th in the Spurs’ colours.
