Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa will go head-to-head in the Championship later tonight, in a game that could have a big impact on both side’s hopes of finishing inside the play-off spots this season.
Forest head into the game in eighth spot in the Championship table, just two points off the top six, whilst the Villans are a further two points adrift in 10th position.
The last meeting between the two sides in the Championship was a high-scoring encounter, and Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has backed another enthralling draw at the City Ground tonight.
“These two met in a midweek earlier in November and produced arguably the game of Championship season so far, drawing 5-5 at Villa Park.
“I don’t imagine we’ll see 10 goals again at the City Ground, but we will see two sides going all out for the victory to try and force their way towards the top six.
“I fancy another entertaining draw.”
Prediction: 2-2
Aston Villa head into this match against Forest on the back of losing just one of their last 13 meetings in all outings which gives the Villans an upper hand against their rivals.
Forest’s last victory against them came back in 2017, when Ben Brereton’s last minute goal gave Forest a 2-1 victory.
It all remains to be seen what will go down tonight, however, with both teams in desperate need of all three points.
