‘That guy is a catalyst for error’, some Arsenal fans blame this player after Spurs draw

Some Arsenal supporters have put the blame of Shkodran Mustafi’s shoulders following the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners had gone into the game with the aim of securing a positive result, and they managed to do so by picking up a point against their north London rivals.

Despite this, a few Arsenal faithful were distraught by the result, given Harry Kane’s equalising penalty in the 74th minute, should not have been awarded in the first place due to the striker being offside.

Moreover, the fans were particularly unimpressed with Mustafi whose foul on Kane led to the spot kick, and they have been a few urging the club to part ways with the Germany international.

Mustafi has been a weak link in the Gunners defence over the past 18 months and Unai Emery’s decision to start him on the right side of the defence should have certainly raised eyebrows.

The German had a relatively decent game despite playing out of position, but his needless push on Kane has turned him into a villain for the Gunners fans regardless of the unawarded offside in the lead-up.
