Tottenham’s best possible XI v Southampton; Poch to make two changes

Mauricio Pochettino’s two match touchline ban will kick-off when his side travel to St. Mary’s as they take on Southampton later today.

The former Saints boss admits he was in the wrong when he lashed out at referee Mike Dean at Burnley, but still insists the FA punishment wasn’t really fair.

Pochettino said:

“This is my first time that maybe I wasn’t completely right in behaviour, but I think it is too much.

“I feel a little bit sad and disappointed with the punishment. It’s unbelievable.”

A win will further cement Spurs’ third position in the Premier League table, while Southampton sit precariously just outside the drop zone.

Dele Alli could be set for a return back to Tottenham’s line-up against Southampton, having recently resumed full training, as reported via the club’s official website.

The 22-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during the North London outfit’s win over Fulham in January, but could be finally be in line to return to the side today.

Tottenham were without Kieran Trippier for their trip to Germany – as he was undergoing treatment for a gluteal muscle strain, and he has been ruled out for the clash with the Saints.

That said, let’s take a look at how Pochettino’s side could line up against Southampton today.
