Report: Everton preparing summer bid for 22-goal striker

Marco Silva’s Everton are preparing an offer to secure the signing of Southampton transfer target Che Adams from Birmingham City in the summer.

As exclusively reported by Football Insider, the Toffees are lining up a move for the Birmingham hot-shot ahead of the summer window.

Adams has been in superb form for the Blues this season, and the 22-year-old is the fourth top-scorer in the Championship at the moment, with 22 strikes to his name from 40 appearances.

Adams’ performances have caught the eyes of many clubs, with Everton the latest to throw their name into the mix.

Football Insider also reckons that Southampton and Burnley both have had bids for the attacked rejected in January for the  in-form striker.

However, the report made no mention of how much the Blues are set to demand for the sale of Adams this summer.

Birmingham are languishing in the bottom half of the Championship table, so they will surely be tempted to cash in on Adams in the summer.

And should Silva manage to bring him to Goodison Park, he could prove to be a fantastic addition for Everton.
