Leeds United have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Reading midfielder John Swift, according to an exclusive report from Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider.
Swift has been one of the club’s standout performers this season, and has really impressed with both his quality and consistency.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is said to be a huge fan of the 23-year-old playmaker, who has 13 appearances and one goal to his name for the England U21 side.
Registering 37 appearances in all competitions for Reading so far this term, the box-to-box midfielder has six goals and three assists to his name.
Regardless of which division Leeds will be playing in next season, the Portsmouth-born ace would be a welcome addition for the west Yorkshire outfit, and he would provide Bielsa with an entirely different option in the middle of the park.
Leeds are currently fighting Sheffield United for automatic promotion after their 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City at the weekend saw them drop down to third in the Championship table.
