Report: Leeds United join PL sides in race to sign £10m-rated ace

According to talkSPORT, Championship side Leeds United have joined Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City and Watford in the race to sign Braga ace Bruno Viana in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Whites are interested in the 24-year-old and could consider a move for him when the window opens in the summer.

The report from the sports radio station also claimed that Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City side have sent scouts to watch the defender, with likes of Wolves and Watford also keen on securing his signature.

It has been reported that he will cost somewhere between £8 million and £10m in the summer of 2019.

Viana is a solid centre-back, and is a proven first-team starter with Braga, having registered 39 appearances in all competitions this term.

The 24-year-old is an integral part of the Portuguese side who are joint with Sporting CP for 4th fourth best defensive record having conceded 28 goals from 28 outings this season.

Braga are fourth in the Primeira Liga table with 58 points from 28 matches, and Viana’s performances at the heart of their defence have played a crucial role in his side’s successful campaign.

Leeds will be keen to bolster their back-line in the summer, regardless of what division they are playing in, and Viana would undoubtedly be an excellent addition for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
