An exclusive report from Football Insider has revealed that Liverpool forward Divock Origi is set to be offered a new contract with the Merseyside club.
Origi was widely expected by many to be shown the exit door last summer, having seen himself fall down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.
The 26-capped Belgium international has already spent a loan spell at Wolfsburg during the 2017/18 season while it was well documented that Wolverhampton Wanderers agreed a £22 million fee with Liverpool in August 2019 for the 23-year-old, only for Origi to reject a move to Molineux.
Nothing appears to have changed for Origi this season, who currently earns £45,000 per week according to Spotrac, but he has always been impressive when given late cameo roles from the substitutes bench.
Origi has made 15 appearances for Liverpool in all outings this season and has four goals and two assists to his name.
And he now looks set to be rewarded for his efforts with reports of a new deal on the horizon.
It all remains to be seen whether the Belgian will put pen to paper on an improved deal with the Anfield outfit, but rejecting the new contract would surely see him leave the club in the summer.
