An exclusive report from TEAMtalk claims Norwich City are interested in signing Wigan Athletic midfielder Nick Powell this summer.
The former Manchester United midfielder is said to have rejected a new contract offer from Wigan, and is set to leave the Championship side this summer on a free transfer.
The news outlet claims Norwich are one of the several clubs keen on signing Powell, with reported interest from the likes of Celtic, Rangers, Derby County, Fenerbahce and Bundesliga duo RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Powell, however, would favour a move to a British side this summer, and with Norwich City earning promotion to the Premier League this season, they’re in line to win the race for his signature.
While Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion are also interested in the midfielder, Powell could look to join the Canaries, where he would likely feature more than with the other two top flight sides.
Powell is an integral part of Paul Cook’s Wigan side who are looking to survive the relegation battle and has contributed with seven goals and seven assists, according to Transfermarkt.
