Report outlines West Ham’s stance on potentially selling key man

West Ham United are set to reject any offers for Felipe Anderson in the summer, according to Sky Sports News.

This comes after reports surfaced last month linking Anderson with a move to Real Madrid, if the Los Blancos fail in their pursuit of Chelsea’s playmaker Eden Hazard.

Anderson joined the club for a reported club-record £36m fee from Lazio last summer, and has so far enjoyed a productive first season in England.

The left-winger is reportedly settled and happy in east London and is in no rush to leave the Hammers so soon after moving to the London Stadium.

While the £70m-rated playmaker’s recent form has been questionable, he remains the club’s leading goalscorer with nine goals and four assists to his name this season from 36 matches in all competitions – Whoscored.

Real Madrid are still in the race to sign Hazard, and should they fail in their pursuit of the Belgian ace, it remains to be seen whether they would move for Anderson.

West Ham currently sit in 11th spot in the Premier League table with 42 points, and the last thing they need ahead of next season is to lose their talisman.
