Report: Wolves set to announce signing in the next 24 hours

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to complete and announce the permanent signing of Mexico international Raul Jimenez in next 24 hours, according to Sky Sports.

Jimenez is said to have agreed personal terms with the Premier League club on a four-year contract.

The club teased the announcement on social networking site Twitter, posting ‘04.04.19’ along with a short video:

Jimenez’s imminent £30m permanent deal with Wolves would smash the club’s current record transfer, which was set when Adama Traore joined the West Midlands club last summer for £18 million.

This is a bold move from Wolves, although Jimenez has more than proved his worth for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side thus far.

It has been a remarkable season for Jimenez, who has netted 15 goals and eight assists from 37 appearances in all competitions for Wolves this season.

He impressed for his side at home against Manchester United on Tuesday night to deny the Red Devils three points in a 2-1 victory.

Wolves moved back above Watford into seventh position with 47 points while the Hornets are in eighth spot with 46 points.
