Some Wolves fans respond to Raul Jimenez’s post-Man United tweet

Wolverhampton Wanderers returned to winning ways after beating Manchester United 2-1 at home last night.

Raul Jimenez, who joined Wolves on-loan from Benfica last summer, took to social networking site Twitter after the match to express his delight with his side’s win.

He tweeted:

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men took an early lead 13 minutes into the game when midfielder Scott McTominay found the back of the net with a low strike from 22 yards courtesy of an assist from Fred.

However, it only took 12 minutes for Wolves forward Diogo Jota to level the scoreline with a brilliant finish from Raul Jimenez’s pass.

The Red Devils went down to 10 men in the 57th minute when Ashley Young was sent off for a second yellow card after a reckless challenge on Jota.

It was exactly 20 minutes after Young was sent off when Wolves found the winner from Chris Smalling, who scored at the wrong end to make it 2 – 1 for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Some Wolves supporters responded to Jimenez’s tweet and praised him heavily for his performance against the Manchester giants. Here are some of the selected tweets:

The result left Manchester United fifth in table on 61 points, level with fourth-placed Tottenham who have played a game fewer while Wolves are seventh with 47 points.
