Wolves reportedly set to break transfer record yet again

Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to smash their own club-record deal with the signing of Olympique de Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson at the end of the season.

Wolves have only just smashed their club record transfer following the permanent arrival of Raúl Jiménez in a £30m deal from Portuguese side Benfica.

There is a new report from French outlet Le10 Sport, however, which claims the West Midlands club are eyeing up €42m (£36.5m) deal for former France Under-21 international Sanson.

The West Midlands club have allegedly made a verbal offer for the 24-year-old, as they look to add reinforcements to help break into the Premier League’s top six next season.

Sanson has formerly been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the past, but the north London rivals’ interest in the Frenchman has gone cold.

The 24-year-old, who signed a contract extension in December, has made 32 appearances in all competitions for Rudi Garcia’s side this season, racking up four goals and four assists, and he’s an integral part of his team.

Sanson would undoubtedly be a useful addition for Wolves.
