A selection of the Liverpool fans have praised the performance of Mohamed Salah during the club’s 2-0 triumph over Chelsea in the Premier League yesterday evening.
The Egypt international had gone into the clash having scored just once in his last 10 games in all competitions, but he could not influence the game in the first half where the teams settled for a 0-0 scoreline.
Following the break, the Reds broke the deadlock with a 51st-minute goal from Sadio Mane, but it was Salah who made the headlines after doubling the club’s advantage a couple of minutes later.
The 26-year-old has quite often been criticised for the inability to influence the games against the top six, but he made his impact against the Blues with a stellar strike after cutting inside from the right wing.
The goal has resulted in plenty of positive feedback from the fans, and here are some of the tweets….
Thoughts on Liverpool Vs Chelsea.
– Henderson is showing his worth
– Salah is never a One Season Wonder
– Kieta & Fabinho partnership is best
– Liverpool now plays like a Champion
– Whoever that partners VVD will shine
– Mane, Salah & Firmino partnership is best in EPL.#LIVCHE pic.twitter.com/QZGkRrn23s— Ayanbisi Temitope (@AyanbisiAfeez) April 14, 2019
Just a reminder that ‘one season wonder’ Mohamed Salah is on the same amount of goals as ‘best season of his life’ Aguero. Mane is 1 goal away from top spot as well. pic.twitter.com/LlWSK6evbc

With the result, the Reds have once again propelled to the top of the standings, but they still don’t have the advantage in the title race, considering Manchester City are two points behind them with a game in hand.
Next up, the Merseyside giants will shift their attention to the Champions League where they are set to face Porto on the road in the second-leg of the quarter-final. The Reds are holding a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
