Liverpool are eyeing summer move for David Neres from Ajax Amsterdam but, according to report from Spanish outlet AS, the Reds will be rivalled by Atletico Madrid for his signature.
The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is in the market to add quality reinforcements to his rank this summer with report linking Daniel Sturridge out of the club.
The Echo reported this week that Liverpool will not be signing players with hefty price tags this summer which explains their interest in the youngster.
The Echo reports clearly explains why the club’s interest ni Matthijs de Ligt was ruled out and seemingly 90% of their reported targets, but still in the race for Neres signature.
Neres is said to be worth around £45million, and is one of the idea long-term attacking prospects fans would love to see at Liverpool as he’s just 22 years of age.
French news publication Le10Sport claimed this past month that the youngster is of interest to Liverpool and it’s so clearly why their interest in the Brazilian is strong.
Neres does worth every penny of his £45million valuation. Klopp fancies move for younger players and the signing of the 22-year-old would represent a nice coup.
It remains to be seen how Liverpool will beat Atletico Madrid to his signing this summer but should fail to do so, the Reds have also been linked Memphis Depay and Nicolas Pepe both of whom will excel at Anfield.
