Liverpool owner John W. Henry’s wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry, has paid tribute to “a special team” following their victory over Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
The Reds and ran out 4-0 winners in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie at Anfield to progress with a 4-3 aggregate advantage.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had been left with a mountain to climb after losing 3-0 to the Spanish and European giants in the first leg of the tie at Camp Nou last week.
Henry, like thousands of others, took to Twitter to revel in one of European football’s most impressive comebacks.
Against all odds. All heart in the fortress of Anfield. This is a very special team. #ynwa pic.twitter.com/s4UzYkqI9b

Liverpool reached the final of the Champions League last season, but the Reds were defeated 3-1 by Real Madrid at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev.
They will now face either Ajax or Tottenham Hotspur in the final in Madrid on June 1 and will likely go into the match as favourites.
Both Spurs and the Dutch champions have defied the odds to reach the semi-finals, but Liverpool’s squad – provided everybody is available – has more depth and more quality than both of their potential opponents.
Moreover, the Reds will also have learned from their defeat to Madrid in the final last season, and their recent Champions League experience should stand them in good stead.
Liverpool may miss out on the Premier League title to Manchester City this weekend, but the Anfield faithful can now look forward to a Champions League final they would expect to win.
