Maurizio Sarri dealt transfer blow: Chelsea target wants to join Southamton

Premier League giants Southampton have handed boost in their pursuit of Fiorentina’s star Bartlomiej Dragowski ahead of Chelsea, with the goalkeeper reportedly keen on joining the Premier League side.

Dragowski was in brilliant form during his six-month loan spell with Italian side Empoli last season, set a record of 17 saves in a single match against Atalanta, and has been linked with a move to fellow Serie A side AS Roma this summer.

However, report emanating from SportItalia via Football Italia claims the goalkeeper is poised to join the Premier League side in a move said to be worth a whooping €10million plus add ons.

Chelsea were believe to be interested in his signature amidst reports that Willy Caballero could be shown the exit way at Stamford Bridge this summer with West Ham United believed to be one of the sides keen on his signature this summer, according to Evening Standard.

Fiorentina signed the goalkeeper for a reported fee said to be in the region of €2.5million in 2016 from Polish outfit Jagiellonia, but has made just nine senior appearances for the Serie A side.

Southampton head-coach Ralph Hasenhuttl could be eyeing the signing of Dragowski as a replacement to departing Fraser Forster, who has been linked with a move away from the Saints this summer after making just one Premier League appearances for the club last season.
