According to reports Premier League giants Chelsea F.C are reportedly lining up a January bid to sign Poland international and AC Milan star Krzysztof Piatek.
The Blues are currently banned from registering any new players over the age of 16 after a probe found out they breached FIFA rules in relation to sign youth players.
However, the west London club are allegedly confident that their suspension will be lifted in time for the January transfer window which will enable new signing to the club this winter.
Chelsea are on the lookout for a new striker to put pressure on Tammy Abraham and this is said to be the club’s manager Frank Lampard’s top priority transfer prospect, and the club have recently been linked with the signing of Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
However, a separate report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato says the London club are interested in a swoop for Piatek and could submit a £30m offer on the table when the winter transfer opens for business.
The 24-year-old scored 19 goals across 21 appearances for Genoa in the first half of last season before he joined AC Milan, where he struck 14 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions totaling 30 goals in all outings last season – [Transfermarkt].
Manchester United have also recently been linked with the nine-time Poland international, who has a contract with Milan until the end of the 2022-23 season.
