3-year Deal Agreed – Celtic ‘won the race’ to signing of 15-year-old sensation

Celtic have beaten Premier League clubs Leicester City and West Ham United to the signing of 15-year-old winger Bruno Davidson.

The report is according to the Daily Record via HITC, who claim that the teenage sensation has signed a three-year contract at the Parkhead, with the deal being finalized on Tuesday evening.

Reports from these tabloids over the weekend claimed the Hoops ‘won the race’ for the well-known local club Hutchison Vale ace, and it looks as if a switch to Celtic Park is all wrapped up.

As well as with Leicester City and West Ham United, the report adds that Davidson also went on trial with Liverpool and Southampton, however, he’s favoured a move to Scotland with Celtic.

The signing of Davidson is not in anyway what the Bhoys would jump off their seats for, but additions like these are vital for the club in the long run.

Celtic were able to beat off competition from several Premier League teams to the signing of the teenager and he could one day turn out to be another young gem to break into the Hoops first-team.

Of course, Celtic will be looking to add several senior signings to their ranks this ongoing transfer month, with the Daily Mail claiming the club’s boss Neil Lennon wants four signing done before the end of the month.

But it’s great to see that the club are continuing to look to add the best young talent to their development squad too as any player who can make it from there into the first-team could save the club millions of pounds in transfer fees.
