Celtic player Olivier Ntcham rejects West Ham transfer claims that linked him with Premier League club in this transfer window, as per BT Sport.
Foot Mercato claimed that he was preparing to make a transfer move and was in advanced talks with the Hammers. However, Scottish newspaper Daily Record rejected those claims and said that there was no truth in those rumors. And now the Bhoys star himself has stepped up to deny those transfer claims.
He told BT Sport during their coverage of Thursday’s match between Celtic and St Johnstone:
“Yeah yeah for sure (whether he’ll still be at Celtic in February), I’m really happy and looking forward to playing for Celtic.”
The player’s comments put those rumors firmly to bed and the Hoops fans can expect to see their star playing for their team next season.
The France international is currently enjoying a good time at Celtic Park, scoring six goals and making four assists in 32 appearances this term.
His statistics show that his performances have greatly improved this season compared to the last one when he could secure only 16 premiership appearances for the whole campaign and managed to score only three goals.
But now it looks like his manager’s faith in him has increased and so he is being provided with bigger roles, with the 23-years-old playing for 90 minutes in all the recent games against Patrick Thistle, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.
