Celtic right-back set new club record in Dubai

Scottish champions Celtic are currently in Dubai for their winter training camp as the domestic action takes a well-deserved break from football.

Neil Lennon and his team are enjoying some time off after a busy first half of the season and will be back in action in the Scottish Cup on 18 January against Partick Thistle at the Firhill stadium.

The Glasgow giants are blessed with plenty of pacey players and they decided to see who is the fastest in Dubai.

Teenage right-back Jeremie Frimpong emerged as the victory, with the club posting a picture of the top three on their official Instagram account’s story.

It’s surprising to see Kristoffer Ajer finished second whilst Lewis Morgan came third.

One could probably have guessed that the Netherlands U20 right-back would win the sprint contest because of his incredible speed that he shows on the pitch when flying up and down the right flank.

Seeing the Hoops Ajer finishing in second place is impressive and shows why he’s always in great defensive positions because he’s incredibly quick.

Morgan in third seems normal, but there’ll be a few in the squad disappointed to miss out on a podium finish.
