According to reports, Celtic January transfer plans include Aaron Hickey but the club won’t meet Hearts’ asking price.
That is according to the Daily Star who says the Hearts sensation fancies a move back to Celtic – however, Premier League club Crystal Palace are ready to outbid Neil Lennon’s side to his signature.
The 17-year-old is a rising star in Scottish football having impressed for the Edinburgh-based outfit.
His impressive form have not gone unnoticed as Celtic are eager to secure his services – along with Palace.
However, according to The Sun via The Daily Star, Celtic could miss out on this chase has it’s the south Londoners who are more willing to cough Hearts’ asking price for his services.
Roy Hodgson will reportedly sanction a £1.5m for the versatile full-back despite reports suggesting Hickey would prefer to remain in Scotland, though.
The rookie is a Celtic fan and would welcome the chance to prove himself with the senior team having failed to make the grade at their academy.
Whatever happens, Celtic will benefit from Hickey’s move to the Premier League club as reports claims the Hoops have 30-per-cent sell on clause having let him leave the club in 2018.
