Scott Sinclair look set for a January move to SkyBet Championship side Preston North End with the winger travelling back from Dubai to hold talks with Preston boss Alex Neil and undergo a medical for the Deepdale outfits.
The former Great Britain left-winger came close to agreeing a move away from Celtic Park last summer amid reported interest from Derby County. The Rams were also linked with another move for the former Chelsea and Swansea City ace this month.
However, according to The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, the journalist has just confirmed that Sinclair is on his way back from Dubai and is set for a medical with Preston North End.

The update from the Telegraph’s journalist was supported by the Daily Record who also says Sinclair will “hold discussions with Deepdale boss Alex Neil” ahead of a move to Preston.
A move away from Celtic for Sinclair is hardly surprising given how little he has featured for the Hoops this season, and how he is entering into the final six months of his contract with the Scottish champions.
The left-winger – who can also be used in other positions such as playing as a second striker or as an attacking midfielder – has made just seven appearances this season, racking up just 176 minutes of first-team action in all competitions.
However despite the rather subdued end to his Celtic career, assuming the move to Preston goes through, Sinclair will still leave the club having made a hugely important contribution to the Hoops’ Treble Treble.
The 30-year-old has 62 goals for Celtic and 34 assists to his name in all competitions in just 167 appearances, and he will depart with the best wishes from everyone associated at Celtic Park knowing his place in Celtic’s history is secured.
