HUGE update on Ismaila Soro completing Celtic medicals

Celtic kickoff their transfer window business with the signing of Patryk Klimala for a reported £3.5m fee after seven goals in 18 appearances this season for Ekstraklasa side Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Celtic are said to have had a biit for Ismaila Sor accepted by Bnei Yehuda, and the midfielder, according to reports, will undergo a medical with the club later this week.

The report is according to Football Insider, who have reportedly been informed with the updates surrounding the midfielder’s transfer to Celtic by a source close to the club that a bid has been accepted by Bnei Yehuda for Soro.

The report also went further that the Hoops are in “advanced talks to finalise the deal,” and the midfielder will fly to Glasgow for a medical “later this week.”

Report earlier this week according to the Daily Record claims that Soro was set to play his final game for Bnei Yehuda on Wednesday.

However, hearing that Celtic have had a bid accepted and the midfielder will now travel to Glasgow for a medical is hardly surprising.

And the news is sure to please a number of supporters, with many comparing the 21-year-old with World Cup-winning midfielder N’Golo Kante earlier this month.

While it is always dangerous to make such comparisons off the back of watching YouTube compilation videos of the player, Soro certainly looks an exciting player in our opinion, and just what we need in midfield.

The Daily Record have previously described Soro as a ‘fearless’ and ‘energetic’ midfielder who enjoys putting in a challenge to break up play in midfield and defence.

Comparisons with Kante, therefore, are understandable, and we believe Soro will be an excellent addition if we can get the deal done, given how important players of his ilk can be in midfield.
