“Klimala will be as good as £95m-rated ace” – Polish FA President Makes Bold Claim

Celtic’s new signing of the transfer window Patryk Klimala has been compared to Inter Milan’s prolific goal scorer Lautaro Martinez.

That’s according to the Daily Record, who quoted Polish FA President Zbigniew Boniek as stating the Celtic new signing will be as good as the £95m-rated Martinez in the future.

He said:

“In a year or two, I think Patryk will be as good as Lautaro Martinez. He’s improved so much in the the past six months because he was given game time.”

Comparing Celtic’s £3.5m man to Martinez is certainly a bold claim to make in our view, given how impressive the Inter’s striker has been this season.

Martinez has netted 15 goals and created three assists in all outings for the San Siro outfits so far this season, with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United interested in his services, according to the Daily Record.

However, the Polish FA President Boniek clearly rates Klimala having seen him progress this season, and we feel he is unlikely to make such a comparison unless he believed in 21-year-old’s ability and what he can achieved for and with Celtic in the near future.

And if Klimala can have same kind of impact at Parkhead as Martinez is having at Inter Milan, then the Hoops bid for ten-in-role title dominance in the Scottish Premiership is secured.
