Report suggests Man Utd are preparing swoop for Celtic star: Should Hoops sell?

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has found himself on Manchester United’s radar during the January transfer window, according to emerging report from the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils has found themselves five points off the top four at this stage of the season. Man United are also the lowest goalscorers amongst the Premier League’s top six teams.

This pathetic form appears to have prompted United to ignite interest in Edouard, according to the Mail. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season with Celtic.

The France u21 international, who is rated at €7.50m according to Transfermarkt, has scored 13 goals in 17 Scottish Premiership games for Celtic this season and has five goals in his last eight appearances across all competitions.

It would be a big surprise if Scottish champions had any interest in offloading their striker this month. The club’s recent defeat at home to Rangers suggests their Scottish Premiership dominance over the years could go right down to the wire, and the selling one of their key players would do nothing but rather rob salt to a wound.

Manchester United, however, are one side who can come knocking at their door for Edouard’s signature with mouth-watering offer. So it will remains to be seen if they can make a bid that leaves Celtic with a tricky decision.

Bhoys fans would be forgiven for fearing that keeping Edouard is only going to get tougher as each window passes. But it would be a massive shock if the youngster went anywhere during this particular window.
