Manchester United are tracking Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard who is currently flying high in the Scottish Premiership, as per the Express.
The Red Devils are looking to sign a new striker in the summer having drawn up a list of options.
They failed to replace Romelu Lukaku who left in the summer for Inter Milan, and though Marcus Rashford has been brilliant for them this season, the Manchester club still look in need of a quality striker.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are intent on signing RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner but it looks that they would lose the transfer race to Liverpool.
And incase United miss out on the German footballer, they would look to snap up the Bhoys star Edouard in the next window.
The French footballer has been impressive for the Hoops this season, scoring 23 goals and making 17 assists in 38 matches across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has made 54 league appearances and scored 35 goals since making a permanent deal with the Scottish club in 2018.
The club boss Neil Lennon heaped praises on the Frenchman but also conceded whether they can keep hold of the player beyond the summer.
Lennon said via Bleacher Report:
“He is super-talented.
“He could play in the Premier League and Champions League, no question, with the form he is in.
“At 22 he is has it all in front of him. I just hope he keeps getting better and better with us.
“I don’t know [if we can keep him]. We have had no inquiries for him but I am sure somewhere down the line for someone of that quality there will be.”
