“Richarlison is turning into one of the best players up front” Sam Allardyce on Everton star

Sam Allardyce heaped praise on Everton forward Richarlison after his sparkling performance in the Toffees’ 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace, as per Daily Mail.

Ancelotti’s side have climbed up to seventh in the Premier League table with this win, continuing their resurgence under the new manager.

The match at Goodison Park saw Bernard open the scoring in the 18th minute before Christian Benteke leveled the scores in the second half for the Eagle. But it did not take long for Richarlison to restore the lead with a superb strike.

The Brazilian forward played a big part in Everton’s second goal too, as his header hit the crossbar giving Dominic Calvert-Lewin a brilliant opportunity to extend the lead.

Sam Allardyce, who managed the Merseysider in the 2017-18 campaign, was greatly impressed with the 22-years-old and hailed his performance on BT Sport 1.

He said:

“Richarlison is turning into one of the best players up front in the Premier League.

“We saw that by the goal he scored and the header he got for the second goal. That’s a big relief because goals are going to make the difference in any team.

The former Watford player has been performing impressively this season, notching 11 goals in 29 matches across all competitions.

The talented forward came to Goodison Park in 2018, racking up 59 league appearances and scoring 22 goals for the club so far.
