Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic and both have held talks over a move for the player, according to Goal.com.
The 24-year-old spent the previous two campaigns on loan at German side Hertha Berlin. He was impressive for the Bundesliga club, racking up 54 appearances in all competitions with nine goals to his name.
The report claims that the Reds want a £20 million fee for the Serbia international who joined them in 2016 for £5 million and has earned 14 appearances for the senior team.
It is said that the Lions and the Eagles have held initial talks for signing the young midfielder this summer. However, both the Premier League sides face stiff competition from the other European sides. Hertha are keen to re-sign the Serbian while Frankfurt, Gladbach, Werder Bremen, and Atalanta are also interested.
Grujic started his career by joining the youth ranks of Red Star Belgrade where he went on to feature in 31 league appearances for the senior team.
He was scouted by a number of high-profile European clubs, but he joined Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp personally called the player to convince him.
After completing the move, he was immediately loaned back to Red Star where he enjoyed a stellar season, scoring six goals and creating seven assists in 29 appearances.
He also spent a short loan spell at Cardiff City where he earned 14 appearances and scored one goal.
