Bolton Wanderers are pursuing Fleetwood Town keeper Billy Crellin as the Whites look to bolster their squad for next season, as per Football League World.
They were relegated after suffering a five-point deduction as a penalty for their failure to fulfil two fixtures.
However, they will be hoping to return to the League One immediately under their new manager Ian Evatt who was appointed as Keith Hill’s successor on 1 July 2020.
The 20-year-old has so far earned just nine first-team matches for Bolton, with all his appearances coming last campaign, but it is uncertain at the moment whether the club manager Joey Barton will be ready to let his player leave the Highbury Stadium.
The Wanderers have already been quite active in the market as they are making their preparations for next season in League Two, hiring George Taft, Liam Gordon, Eoin Doyle, Brandon Comley, Tom White, and Antoni Sarcevic.
Considering that they only have Matthew Alexander as their goalkeeper now, it is little surprise to anyone that they are very interested to add a new goalie.
A lot of players, including their keeper Remi Matthews, left the club at the end of last season as the Wanderers adopted some cost-cutting measures.
